Re: clipping in reaper

The thing you need to find out is if the actual mic input signal is clipping, or if the clipping occurs within REAPER after recording it. OSARA has some peak watcher capabilities which you can use to check the peak of your recorded signal. If that peak is too high, then REAPER can do something about it by turning the volume of the track down. If the input signal is already clipped, it is possible that the mic is faulty here.
