Hi,
When you press a button to start the search, NVDA will not speak because the game is searching for an opponent. If it finds someone, and that should happen fairly quickly if there is someone else also searching, it'll bring up a menu.
The beta has the story mode locked, for various reasons. It is great when a character comes out and you still have something to look forward to in the regular game.
