I'mjust going to provide the conclusion: DRM doesn't protect you from piracy.  It just gives you a few months before someone does, and makes casual/well-meaning players have a reason to purchase.

Publishing isn't really a black art.  Selling is, but not for programming reasons (because, as I said, you can just use Stripe).  You might want to get an LLC depending where you are.

But none of this is really that hard. You're overthinking it all. There's not some specific right way or anything.
