Re: Lossless audio books

I think, as someone who has written 3 audio libraries, that lossless audio is really not a big deal at all because the best lossy formats are audibly as good while still saving you 3x or 4x the space in the worst case (but usually more), and that probably the problem is that if I'm Audible and I want to save money streaming content around all the time to the sighted people who are just going to play it on the car speakers on the way to work, I'm going to disregard all that and use the cheapest format I can get my hands on, probably extremely low bitrate mp3.

Also there might be a quality setting or something, and if there's not you can probably find a competitor to audible that uses a better codec.
