Re: Napad bandytów, a Polish gamebook created by me.
here're my thoughts.
I was able to complete the game in literally 30 seconds flat. Well, minus finding play.html, which wasn't actually there by the way... writing was good, nice concept, but having to manually click on the play button for scenes is a big big nono IMO. Although everyone needs a starting point.
Also, my advice to you, is to go into the html that you got from, and I'm just assuming here, sunrise waterfall, and take a look at it. Once you know html, you can use cool stuff like java sript and more stuff like that. _javascript_ willl give your book a cutting edge for reasons such as variables (randomizeable ones if you please) and more.
Also check out inform 7, a google search should get you there, a programming language written in natural language.
On second thought you're gonna need flawless spelling for that otherwise it's going to have such a hard 0 1 tantrum. Oh, and the errors are completely useless, almost telling you nothing of any importance to what you're trying to code.
Keep going!
Another useful thing you may want is choice script, a programming language designed for writing exactly this, gamebooks. Again, google searching should be suffice for finding this.
