I'll throw in another vote for CYS (ChooseYourStory). The editor is accessible and simple enough to figure out, while still offering a whole lot of options for scripting if you want that. You can creat anything from a simple story with choices to a complicated dungeon crawling game.

Connor is not exactly wrong; the community definitely is less nice than the one over here. But they can also be very, very helpful if they see that you're actually trying to improve your writing. Their criticism might sometimes be a bit harsh, but, unless you publish something with no effort whatsoever put into it, always constructive.
