Exactly. Hard drives, even ssd's, don't cost nearly as much as they used to, so there is no excuse not to have a terabyte or two available. Backblaze can also backup external drives, and if your network can handle it, you really should invest in it. Usually I don't trust cloud backups to be sincere about things like end to end encryption, security, reliability and the like, but they've been going on for years and have never, ever changed their core mission, bent to the will of any advertisers or investors (here's looking at you, dropbox) and their storage pod solution is open source, and as far as cloud backups are concerned, that's as transparent as it gets without rolling your own server. And they have only ever increased their price once in the time they've been operating, and that's only after their upgrade to ssd storage, and just an extra dollar for that is almost a steal.
