I don't quite remember, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I may have been part of one of these situations. A lot of my sentiments are echoing @OP. My views have and will not change in reguards to your and other people's choices, however, I in know way mean to dehumanize you for it. As you quite clearly know, I used to have a very headstrong approach to anything I didn't agree with, and that probably came through in those situations, and for that, I am also sorry.
P.S. I probably still have a very similar approach to things, however, I'm not the child I was back then and am able to clamp down on my righteous indignance.
