Using cheats in project64 (nintendo 64 emulator)

Hi all,
does anybody know the in the subject named program to emulate n64 games?

I just wonder how to use the cheats there. There's a button "deactivate all", but no for activate all. And strange, it looks like they're all activated already but in the game, nothing happens.
I somehow made it working a few years ago but don't know how anymore.

Can someone help?
