@1: In case you don't have a backup of your files:
as your computer got infected already, I recommend backing up things to a special disk and reinstalling your operating system. It will get rid of keyloggers and other spyware, which are quite hard to detect, even if your av removes those add popping things called adware from your machine.
Then, don't forget to disable autorun for USB, connect the external storage, where you've backed up things and scan them with a good antivirus, such as Kaspersky. They have a scanner-only program, which is free if I remember right.
It should clean malware stored in your files. If possible, don't run .exe files from that drive at all, they are the most likely targets for infection. If you have installers of programs stored there, simply redownload them from their official websites. It will take some time, but it's the safest option.
Also, as all .exe files from your backup are to be considered unsafe, I recommend simply deleting all of them. It will prevent similar mistakes to thatone you did earlier to happen again.
In case you actually have a backup, simply reinstall the whole thing, and use your backed data. If you have a backup, but there are certain new non-exe files, which you need to keep, use the procedure above to save them from getting formatted.
And for future, I recommend either using a good antivirus, Voodooshield or Sandboxie. Any of these programs, if used correctly should protect your from similar problems.
