Re: You are stuck in the dungeon of despair!

Having steps echo closer together the closer you come to a wall sounds like a fair idea to me. As to how we memorize complex dungeons... that depends. Everyone has different ways of doing it.. for me it's basically the same way I live my life. Exploring somewhere, recognizing certain places and then remembering as much of the layout as I can. I agree with locutus though... radar shouldn't be there unless necessary. It definitely does take away from the atmosphere.
