Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?
Right-wingers and Trump supporters everywhere can rejoice! After Trump's public rejection of Dr. Anthony Fauci, a decorated expert in the study of viruses, the GOP has a brand new darling.
Meet Stella Immanuel. She practises in Houston, Texas in a strip mall next to her very own church. After claiming in a video clip that he knew "nothing about her", Trump nevertheless stated that hers is a "very important voice", probably because she supports the now widely-debunked use of hydrochloroquine in the treatment of the coronavirus, to a great enough extent that she claims that wearing masks is not even needed. What a ringing endorsement! It definitely says something when the purported president of a country can support you, then walk out of a press conference when asked further questions, based on this sort of evidence.
But wait, there's more! A closer look at Immanuel's bonna fides turns up the following, all of which should definitely excite conspiracy theorists everywhere.
- Immanuel has publicly stated that many reproductive disorders are the result of sex with ghost husbands and ghost wives
- Immanuel has publicly stated that scientists are hard at work on a vaccine which targets a gene in the human brain which is directly related to religious tendencies
- Immanuel has publicly stated that doctors regularly use alien DNA when treating patients
- Immanuel has publicly stated that in certain cases, reproductive problems are the result of people unknowingly sleeping with human "witches"
- Immanuel has publicly stated that things like Harry Potter, Hannah Barbera and magic eight-balls propagate practising of the dark arts and witchcraft
- Immanuel has publicly stated that there is a cabal out to ruin humanity with gay marriage
With such interesting views, Immanuel will fit right in with Mr. Trump, who apparently did not have the time or fortitude to field genuine and appropriate questions from the press about her.
This, folks, is apparently Anthony Fauci's replacement, at least as far as Blabbermouth Don is concerned. I seriously cannot make this shit up. I cannot stress loudly enough that if you're generally in support of Mr. Trump or the right wing, you would do well to run far, far away from Stella Immanuel. A supposed doctor who says these things, about the coronavirus or anything else, is simply not to be trusted. How this woman still has a medical license, much less voluntary freedom, is beyond me. She's in Houston, I'm in Ontario; we'll never meet, I'll never be treated by her, and it still makes my fucking skin crawl.
