Re: Tips for Riviera?
In regards to item management, know that all weapons and consumables have durability values. If i remember correctly, regular weapons have 40, books and staves have 30, throwing items have 20, foods and potions have 3 to 5. All of those numbers represent the number of times they can be used before they vanish. Key items do not take up inventory space,, and special weapons such as Ein's sword do not break.
Pressing r in the inventory will bring up additional info about the highlighted item, and I think start will organize them all in order, with special weapons first then weqapons in order of the specialty of the people you meet. So, Ein is good with swords, Fia is good with rapiers, Lina is good with bows, Serene is good with sites, and Siera is good with staves. Then comes throwing items, then consumables. You can carry up to 16 items, and they are organized in two columns of 8 from top to bottom.
The select button brings up the quick menu out of battle i believe, which you can do things like organize your party and quick-save your game, but i will need to check and get back with the items 8n order and get back. Not sure what it does in battle. Your party's formation is 3 in front, and 2 in back.
The QuickTime events consist of 3 varieties, 1 is to enter a button combination or mash a particular button, a second asks you to press a button at the right time, and the third asks you to press buttons to visual rhythm.. some events are fixrd, while others have randomized buttons. For that, reger to a walkthrough on gamefaqs.a
