@5 No it's not, you must enable it yourself as the save files don't govern settings.

@3 If you don't have a controller to connect to your PC, you won't be able to experience autoaim.

@2 Those instructions were rather imprecise. The trouble here is that the menus are so complex that vague instructions like that could lead to enabling or disabling something extremely undesirable.

Escape or menu button on Xbox 1 controller to pause, right three times then enter or A on the controller - do this twice about a half second or more apart. Down one with the D-pad or arrows then right one. A warning will pop up and you dwon't be able to move. This is where OCR helps to confirm that you've got the setting you want, but A or enter will dismiss that, then hit escape or menu again to resume the game.

So without all the fluff, it's pause, right 3, enter 2, down right enter resume.
