MacOS, Gatekeeper, and this ever-evolving pain in my ass
Ugh, for reals Apple.
So I'm about to start the first Onslaught beta round, and figure I'll send to Linux and MacOS testers since there are fewer and they'll catch the obvious bugs I've missed. Only, I'd like to include accessible instructions for bypassing Gatekeeper. I'm seeing things that say "Just control-click," but what is the accessible equivalent? Is there one?
So far I've been digging around in the Settings/Security menu, where there appears to be a list of recently failed Gatekeeper apps which I can grant permission to run. But is there an accessible, quicker equivalent? Eventual plans are to get a developer account and have this signed, but in the interest of not spending money if this won't work anyway, I'd like to have my beta testers bypass Gatekeeper and focus on integrating release-signing to my CI processes once I'm sure I have something I'm proud of.
Thanks.
