I agree with post 126 about the accent issue. I never noticed anything that sounded off at all.
Actually, accents vary widely in the UK, so even if they were going for a British accent, it wasn't necessarily wrong.
A friend of mine from England once told me that you could drive a hundred mile stretch and hear different types of British accents.
However, I never got the impression that the game is set in England, so the accent is irrelevant.
