Never apologize in 2020 op, you're just basically laying down in front of the mob that you pissed off and are allowing them to further kick the shit out of you.
Having voluntarily placed yourself in such a place of weakness only to have everyone start attacking you again will lead to you feeling increasingly more defensive as the attacks pile up and you'll end up lashing out in the end. This will complete the cycle and will only make the people who piled in on you feel vindicated in the end.
My advice to you is as follows:
1. Forget this thread ever existed, do not further engage with said thread, do not pass go and do not collect $200.
2: Given that you've taken your punishment for what you've done and have come back, just conduct yourself like the chill forum member you are/want to be because something something actions something words something something..
3. You'll never be able to prove yourself to some forum members, who will always think that you're a little assshole that needs reminding of this fact on a regular basis. Do not engage with them and do not further debase yourself attempting to prove something to them that you'll never be able to. Doing so will dump you back in that getting defensive lashing out cycle I mentioned earlier.
