@Dungeon Diver, There have definitely been some difficult parts but I've found generally things have gotten easier over time and now for the majority of things I want/need to add it's not difficult at all unless it's something very new or out of the box that I have to try and figure out how to code. Or if I'm having to return to old systems I wrote years ago to rework new stuff into them it can be a struggle.
It's not a super hard thing to make overall though, just takes a lot of effort haha

So deeper consequences and reactions to things is definitely a good idea and something I have heard to some degree before, cheers for the write up and example. Will keep a note.
