Yep, there are twenty levels of difficulty using a chess engine. I even specifically make the computer worse at lower levels of difficulty (if you go all the way to level 1 difficulty it actually just plays random moves) all the way up to the full power of the chess engine higher up. By default you play against level 5 which is hindered fairly well and will intentionally make some dumb moves.

Any time you ask for a hint, I use the highest level of difficulty to grab the hint (which is ranked 3300) as well.
