@2 In fact, the problem is that I need the column names to be spoken on hover, because a click on the column will sort the list by that column, so the status bar probably wouldn't help here.
@3 @4 wx.LC_REPORT is actually the style I'm using, and seems like there's no easy way to fix the column name accessibility. I like the look of e.g. NVDA's addon manager list, but I suppose that this implementation would require too much effort for that task. Not completely sure about that, if somebody knows more about it please tell us.
