@8 ok I'll try that. I'm not the only person with this problem. Appartently, there used to be a key in the reg called cs enabled in local machine>current control set>control>power, and you could change that value from 1 to 0. But in windows 2004, they completely disabled that key and now lots of people are having this issue.
