@matt1211, this may be an issue with your local browser settings, do you have cookies turned off or something? are you downloading the html file and running it locally or playing directly on the website? is this on a phone or computer? do you have any addons/plugins running?
@firefly82, no I didn't make any update when you posted that, but I did just now.
The merchant will no longer follow you, in fact you can't explore further until you dismiss them now. I found the explore button was still available when you retire, I disabled that. I've added a slight difficulty ramp based on scene number and reduced the amount of invincibility that ubertranks give you.
