I recommend using a USB drive with the Windows installer. The reset options use existing files on your computer and may not give you the best clean install experience if something is seriously broken. Download the Media Creation Tool and use it to create a bootable USB device. Boot from that and follow the prompts, erasing your entire boot drive along the way.
You shouldn't need to enter a product key if your computer is new enough. Starting with Windows 8, the license information is built into the BIOS, so the installer should detect it automatically and proceed. If not, select the correct edition of Windows that your computer was running. Once you connect to the Internet, it should automatically activate. You can check this by going to Settings>Update&Security>Activation. If it's still not activated, get a sighted person to read the product key printed on your computer. Enter this and it should activate Windows and associate the license with your hardware. If you perform clean installs in the future, you won't have to enter the product key because it will automatically activate when you connect to the Internet. Finally, it's worth noting that you can activate Windows with Windows 7 or 8.x product keys. Just senter the product key and it should activate. It's very useful for upgrading old computers that came with Windows 7 to a properly activated Windows 10 system.
Great advice. I agree. You never know if those files in reset this PC were modified. PC venders can also install their crapware through that process, so it's best to make your own USB with the media creation utility, or go out and get an iso and use rufus to create it.
