Re: Building a desktop PC
I am not a PC building expert by any means, I haven't even built a PC once in my life, except the thing I made with a raspbery pi. Anyway, now that we're at it, what would a watter based cooling system achieve compared to a normal, air based one? Btw, won't the watter based one need more maintenance, as the watter needs to be changed regularely to remain cool? or does the system guarantee a somewhat cool watter, maybe based on freon of some sort?
And about the mac OS virtualisation for amd cpu, the process is not that hard, for virtualbox it's literarely add one more line of code to make it simulate an intel cpu profile, as VBOXMANAGE calls it.
However, for vmware, things are slightly more complicated, since there are a few memory and cpu register layouts you have to add to the virtual machine, so open the .vmx file in notepad, and add this to the end of the file, exactly as given here:
smc.version = “0”
cpuid.0.eax = “0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:1011”
cpuid.0.ebx = “0111:0101:0110:1110:0110:0101:0100:0111”
cpuid.0.ecx = “0110:1100:0110:0101:0111:0100:0110:1110”
cpuid.0.edx = “0100:1001:0110:0101:0110:1110:0110:1001”
cpuid.1.eax = “0000:0000:0000:0001:0000:0110:0111:0001”
cpuid.1.ebx = “0000:0010:0000:0001:0000:1000:0000:0000”
cpuid.1.ecx = “1000:0010:1001:1000:0010:0010:0000:0011”
cpuid.1.edx = “0000:1111:1010:1011:1111:1011:1111:1111”
featureCompat.enable = “FALSE”
Furthermore, if the vm is stuck on the mac OS logo or you just can't seemn to access voiceover properly, power off the machine, go to settings, then switch the OS to ms windows. After it booted and installer finished the first faze, it will reboot. Once it begins to do so, quickly power it off, then go change the version again to apple mac OS-X.
I didn't provide any links to websites, but mods, if you feel this is not appropriate, please delete the code and everything else that's required to be deleted from my post.
