I would recommend staying away from forge of empires.
The initial setup tutorial looks accessible, but after creating an account I quickly ran into something which was entirely too graphical, they then proceeded to spam my email account so frequently with adverts and other junk that I had to block them.
Other than that several games on that list are obviously already known about like jemini station and dragonrealms, but others might be worth a look.
