Well, it kind of depends on what kind of music your studying I suppose. The first thing that comes to mind is getting a Bandcamp or soundcloud account and building a portfolio, there's a user here, Eric Matyas who is a veritable beast with the amount of tracks he uploads, you can check out his thread [here]. There's also some game industry articles around as well, such as those by [Winifred Phillips] that may be useful. An example of more conventional instruments could also be Swedish bands like [Wintergatan], he also runs a Patreon page to help fund his current engineering project for a marble based music machine.
With a portfolio set up, you could start loitering around dev sites like itch.io, gamejolt, tigsource, etc. and drop a few posts offering your services, see who bites, etc. Just be sure to brush up on your contracting and legalese.
