If you check out the Sable thread, I already asked a question there to see if the sort of things I wanted could be handled. It was demonstrated that the sort of complexity I'm after is well beyond Sable, at least thus far.
That doesn't mean Sable is terrible. I'm not against it. It just won't work for what I want to do with this game.
And when I say most of my heavy lifting is done, what I mean is, I have design docs for stats and gear and whatever else. Literally all I'd have to do is write out a script, create the proper entities once all the underpinnings were built, then get into the sound side. I have exactly zero experience with sound on my own end, but I am a musician, so I have an idea of what I'm after. Whether that means digging up tracks off the internet and paying licensing fees, or creating a custom sound track, I don't know and frankly I'm not that far along.
