You can change voices by going into the options menu, and going into the voice options dialog. From there, go to the voices tab and shift tab until you get to the predefined voices list box. there's some weird voice comparison thing you can use, not sure what it's for but you can definitely change the main voice.
At Chris
The way I saved as a wav file was to go into the export file dialog, select a file name, and press the save button. You are returned to the edit window and have to press f5 to start reading, you won't hear anything but it will start writing to the file.
