I'd love to see a racing game myself, sort of similar to top speed but with the ability to unlock tracks as you go. I had an idea of implementing a tier system even for custom tracks, so if users could make their own stuff, they could put an extra parameter, tier = 1, which would be available for the first time someone launches the game, 2, which would become available when beating the tracks from tier 1 either by getting a suitable position in a race, or by getting a nice time trial goal, the next tier gets unlocked. it goes tier 3, 4, etc, so there could be almost infinite tiers as people made their own and that track won't unlock until the user reaches that tier. Same with vehicles. When a user beats a tier, both tracks and vehicles from next tier become unlocked.
However, to prevent people not being able to play tracks because someone put a track for tier 9 which might not exist at the time, as the user hasn't installed any tier 8 tracks, the mode cold be a
togglable option or something, so that if people jsut want to ahve fun they can play whatever track but it won't change their race standings, but if people want to play for the unlockables they can enable that option.
