Re: The Audio Games Forum does not Conform to the WCAG Guidelines?
Moderation!
I have moved this topic sinse it is related to the forum.
@Ethin, the problem with these automated tests is that they are none specific, indeed for all I know they could be referring to the google add panels. If they don't say where! the problem is, how exactly is it supposed to be fixed? For example, the guidelines say "provide graphical representations of images" and yet there are to my knolidge only two graphics on the site, the audiogames.net logo on the front page, and the "ccreative heroes" link on the forum, and both as you will see have labels.
So, without clearer information about where these so called violations are it's a little difficult to actually apply anything.
Then of course, there is the question of whether in fact the things flagged up by the testing are really! access problems, or just things the testing doesn't pick up on. A similar issue is had with the sites in the top 25 list on
7-128 software, indeed it's quite funny that sites so regularly used and often designed by Vi gamers such as Gma games and Pcs games are getting these weerd so called access errors, which rather makes me question the testing process.
For all the automated tests in the world though, we have the best accessibility testing there could be, lots of people with access tech using the site, and according to that! test everything is fine, or at least if it isn't then someone has been very! quiet for the last ten years .
