Re: Audio Game Engine
If you want to try BGT (which is very similar to C++/Java), there's now a simple game engine made for it. Because it's made for blind people, it is more simple than Unreal Engine and Unity, but it saves a lot of time.
This is a big set of classes, providing you a ready to use Game class, collisions, actors movement, player controls, a real scene, listener/camera managing, loading and saving system, events, etc...
Why isn't it just "a library"? It isn't, because you download it, you create a new BGT program using the Game object which you can configure, you can program new actors, and then you just have to launch a script to recompile the engine, and it will recognize your new objects. Everything is customizable, you can add create new controlers, from existing ones or not (there are default controlers like controlers for first person games, etc.), new actors, events,...
You won't have beautiful windows with a 3D view showing
your scene, like Unreal and Unity, because you couldn't use them. But my game engine can save a lot of time to BGT developers.
The thread of this project on the forum is here : http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?id=15395 (last version coming out today)
Right now i'm the only one to develop it, but some games are being developed with it by other people on this forum
