Re: beatstar soundpacks!
Hay slj, the problem you're most likely running into is commin with studio bands. You see, even though a song sounds like it's done in 4-4 time, the fact is that most bands that record everything including drumbs as real instraments is that humans aren't always going to follow a strict mathematical timeing. It may sound like 4-4 time to the human ear, but the tempo can vary by a few milliseconds at a time, and that really messes with the beets in beetstar.
Also, if a song is vary fast or slow, it becomes harder to find an exact timing in milliseconds for that song.
a commin situation is that fast songs tend to fall behind, and slow songs have the actions get way ahead of the music.
The only thing I can say is that you have to use a sound program to cut as close to a down-beet as possible, then try and find the closest matching timing with the bpm file.
If you find the timing is still way off, you could try using a time correction feeture to vary
slightly increase or decrease the tempo of the song to try and get it to match.
if that doesn't work, you could try cutting the end of your loop a little earlier or later than usual to attempt to make the beet catch up.
If you're stil having problems, I wouldn't mind taking a look at your files and seeing if I can do anything to fix it for you.
