@Dark, thanks. Fortunately this is only a honor's dissertation, but I've seen examples of Master's and Doctorate works and it looks like a very daunting prospect.
Perhaps I'll consider my Master's soon; my supervisors believe I should as well.
@severestormsteve1, I can't speak for office 2013 but office itself is a pain, so good luck and I hope you end up passing somehow.
I actually had to make a power point presentation the other day and since I can't remember the last time I used power point, google turned out pretty useful.
