I haven't seen any laptop that literally has no function keys. Every laptop does, or should, have a row of keys above the number row. If your laptop has function lock, that is what the problem is. Most laptops have a fuction key to the left or right of the left control key, and if you press that in conjunction with the top-row function keys, they should work as normal function keys.
