A flac file, if properly ripped, should be indentical to the CD
original. It will contain every detail, every bit and every 'nuance'
that was in the original CD file. There is no more to get. The WAV and
FLAC files, read properly and played through the same system (SB or
whatever) with the same settings will be bit-identical.

Your make of CD player seems irrelevant to a discusssion about
comparing WAV with FLAC, unless I'm missing something. If you are
saying that the CD player sounds better than the SB3, that's entirley
possible, but it's nothing to do with the difference between FLAC and
WAV. You need to do a blind listening test between FLAC and WAV through
the SB3 then come back and tell us if you can detect the difference.
