AFAIK all I said was that if his ring DAC is an async reclocking what is the point? You said some drift between clocks might increase digital interpolation. I'll give you that, but you hardly gave him a real world suggestion for fixing it. If an asynchronous reclocking receiver locks onto a signal- jitter shouldn't be an issue.
