The Grace is nice becuase it has everything in one unit. It's not regarded as being the best DAC or the best headphone amp, but it's decent at both and as a combo it has value.
For a lot of opinions, spend a few hours/days keyword searching here... http://www.head-fi.org/ ...which you may already have done to get where you are. They also have a busy marketplace, and Ray Samuel's stuff is very popular there. The site is flaky today though.
