Replacing the stock RCA cables (I used Chord Cobra-3 (http://www.hifisuppliers.co.uk/website/cables/chord%20cobra%203.htm) was probably the most significant improvement I have seen. I also replaced the PSU and connected an external DAC. All very nice - but the cable really made the difference.
