Exactly. One of the best aspects of having the SB3 is that I don't need
any other source component or a preamp. It replaced both my CD player
and tuner, because I now listen primarily to internet radio stations.
(Can you believe there are no full time jazz or classical stations on
the radio where I live?) I use the digital volume control, though,
because I have an external DAC. I would eventually like to have a
totally balanced system, and Scott Endler also makes balanced
attenuators, so I'd have to get a pair of those.
