YOWZA! I'm pretty fortunate that I work only two blocks from B&H Photo. I picked up a $8 HOSA XLR->RCA cable today on the way home and hooked it up right along side my $35 glass Toslink cable. I had my wife A/B it with the DEQ input screen and I could tell a world of difference with the first switch. Mind you, this is with a stock DEQ2496 into a Behringer A500 running Energy C-6 speakers. It's not an audiophile setup by anyone's definition but the difference was night and day.
