Back to the original question, the 'LT1085 ' (http://tinyurl.com/pnvv8)is a 3A regulator. Ron seems to have spec'd the PS at 1A due the the transformer he supplies. Buy a bigger transformer, and the PS will supply more current, plenty for the SB.
