Unless you're intending to use a direct box or have some other method of making the unbalanced signal from the squeezebox balanced, then it doesn't really matter. If you're not converting the unbalanced signal to balanced, then you should actually use a 1/4" TS connector, not a TRS and the choice between using the 1/4" inputs or the rca inputs will merely be a matter of convenience/preference for you.
