Another option is to use two itunes, on two computers. I keep one as lossless for quality listening and connect SB to this. But for routine listening and ipod sync I maintain a second PC (transfering files lossless => VBR maximum mp3 or higher). I can connect my 5x SBs to either one quite easily. Something to consider if you have more than one machine.....also then 2 peoples playlists are then quite possible.
