With all the high end DSP's out today why would anyone need an external DAC? I'm confused... You have digital out from your CD player, your DVD player and from your SB3 so why not spend your money on a high end DSP and allow it to do all the DAC duties?
I'm no EE but why do people use the analog out at all? When you have a Meridian or Levinson processor why do DAC work with a lower end device? Please help me understand.
