5.8GHz phones won't interfere. Vonage also won't, it's bandwidth requirements are very low and also are obviously on the outbound side of things, not on your LAN. What is your AAC set to stream as? FLAC? It's possible the transcoding was interrupted by something else running on the server...the usual advice of running the performance plugin applies.
