Hi all, I intend to help a person, who has a Naim 5i integrated and a SB3. There is a strange hum with the stock SB3 power supply and my thought was to replace it with a linear PS. He sent me this link while discussing the topic and browsing it I found that 1A, or 1.5A solutions (like LT1086) are used in several DIY PSU.
However, as far as I know the SB3 needs 5V/2A DC. Any clarification regarding this issue?
