325, Would using something like the Benchmark Dac1 with a USB input get around your concerns? You are correct, the mac mini is nothing more than a lapop system crammed into a desktop box and i'm not up on its insides either. I'm going to do some experimenting but may try to look more into the a DAC with a USB input. Thanks for the reply
