Sorry, didnt read the whole thread, but I read here that ripping to 24/44.1 will preserve the HDCD info. I used DBPowerAmp for this on a Mark Knopfler Wag The Dog cd. A Wave file, , 100 % original, the album is 366 MB. However, this cannot be converted to ALAC for storage in ITunes, I get an error saying M4A only accepts 16 bit info. So, if it works in flac I guess thats the way to do it ? Flac can be converted to ALAC if you want the music in ITunes ?
