Sadly, I originally used iTunes to rip to MP3 as I didn't want to be tied into the proprietary Apple lossless. But I hadn't heard of Squeezebox then. I've learnt a lot from these forums since, and have downloaded dBpoweramp Reference. This seems to rip to FLAC well and the automated tagging is quite good (though I would prefer higher res album art). The secure rip slows things down a bit but I understand this would be slightly quicker if my CD supports C2. I'm having trouble finding this out. The manual says to insert a scratched CD. Well, I haven't got any!! I take very good care of mine and I'm not about to scratch them needlessly! -- scoughlan ------------------------------------------------------------------------ scoughlan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11583 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=34953 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list audiophiles@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
