My main system is balanced XLR all the way from Transporter to Amplifier
Mono Blocks including the M5-HP crossovers for the Vandersteens.

I know one thing, it can't hurt anything. At a minimum it would be the
same as the unbalanced RCAs, but my opinion is it is almost always
better. IMHO, go balanced XLR for as far as your system components will
let you.

That's my balanced input on the subject and I'm sticking to it!
